Prevent yourself from falling victim to scammers

ATLANTA - October 8, 2016 - In an attempt to take advantage of victims of property damage caused by natural disasters, "storm chasers" may ask that you assign your benefits to them in exchange for damage repair. The Georgia Chamber advises you not to sign anything until you have consulted with your insurance carrier or attorney.

While we understand the severity and immediate need for assistance due to Hurricane Matthew, we ask you to not allow a situation of vulnerability to strip you of your recovery rights.
