Policy Committees

The Georgia Chamber has six policy committees that consist of over 140 top business leaders within the state whose goal is to solve issues to challenges that our state faces.

• Business Climate Committee - Analyzes policies that have to do with further developing Georgia’s business-friendly climate and competitive advantages.

• Energy and Natural Resources Committee - Examines and supports federal and state energy, conservation, water and natural resource management problems.

• Health and Wellness Committee - Finds ways to expand access to quality healthcare and better the way care is delivered.

• Innovation and Technology Committee - Focuses on emerging trends that impact businesses and communities, and how to adapt to capitalize on the innovations.

• Law and Judiciary Committee - Focuses on its promoting fair legal policy in Georgia.

• Talent and Leadership Committee - Focuses on policies and initiatives that address workforce challenges seen across Georgia.

Councils

The Chamber offers access to nine different councils that work towards carrying out the Chamber’s long-term strategic plan.

• Human Resource Council - Provides a setting where practitioners can exchange ideas and discuss employment-related topics while hearing best practices to ensure that your organization is hiring the best candidates.

• Diversity and Inclusion Council - Works to improve the organization’s diversity awareness and inclusion in investor engagement efforts, programs and events.

• Federation Council - Brings coordination and strength to the statewide chamber network.

• Government Affairs Council - Focuses its efforts on achieving the Chamber’s policy objectives and works to determine the organization’s stance on specific pieces of legislation.

• Political Affairs Council - Focuses its efforts on coordinating political strategies, fundraising and campaign contributions.

• Marketing and Communications Council - Reaches multiple audiences, putting out current and important information, and assists with getting the Georgia Chamber message across the state.

• Operations and Financial Planning Council - Maintains the Chamber’s financial strength by providing strategic guidance for investments, revenue and management of its resources.

• Rural Prosperity Council - Works towards efforts that help expand economic development programs throughout rural Georgia.

• Small Business Advisory Council - Provides additional resources to help small businesses grow while giving their owners a voice.

High Potentials Leadership Program

The Georgia Chamber High Potentials Leadership Program gives participants a chance to build confidence and leave with leadership skills. The newly added program focuses on community and civic engagement, policy and political engagement, and external effectiveness. This year, the program will be held Monday, April 30th through Thursday, May 2nd. Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsoring a Georgia Chamber event provides direct access to hundreds of members across the state and helps build a solid brand reputation while increasing your company’s visibility. Our sponsors are able to network with industry professionals and elected officials while promoting their services and products and collecting new clients. From our Eggs & Issues Breakfast, to our Rural Prosperity Summit, and even our annual golf tournaments, there are countless events that your company can sponsor today!

Ambassador Program

The Ambassador Program provides an opportunity for Georgia Chamber investors to participate in a year-round recruitment campaign that directly impacts the Chamber’s efforts. Participants support the Chamber through member sales, renewals, and securing and maintaining sponsorships; all while benefiting from access to educational forums, networking events, and incentive trips.
