Legislative Calendar
Session will resume next Monday, January 23, the fifth legislative day, and work through Thursday, January 26. This week, legislators held joint House and Senate budget hearings on the Fiscal Year 2017 amended budget and Fiscal Year 2018 general budget.

If you missed Georgia Congressman Tom Price’s courtesy hearing before the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee this week, archived footage can be viewed on C-SPAN. Price will face a formal confirmation hearing by the Senate Finance Committee next Tuesday.

Today is Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 45th President of the United States. His team has said that while he plans to sign some executive orders this afternoon, the administration will begin their first 100 days of work on Monday. Politico has a useful rundown of the coming months, here.
