Cyber Georgia @ Augusta University Starts Tomorrow

Augusta University & The Georgia Chamber Gather Leaders & Experts in Cyber Security

ATLANTA - October 11, 2016 - Starting tomorrow, the nation's foremost authorities in Cyber Security will convene at Augusta University for Cyber Georgia. This premiere event will bring together government, academia and industry experts to provide intelligence and the latest updates on how to improve cybersecurity, education and research.

The two-day conference will zero in on current cyber threats, building the cybersecurity workforce pipeline, developing best practices for educating and recruiting the next generation of cybersecurity experts, and shaping healthy economic mobility. The overall goal is to provide attendees with a positive learning experience that they can incorporate into their work and personal lives.

"We are very excited to co-host this year's program," said Georgia Chamber President and CEO Chris Clark. "Today, cybersecurity is a major concern for individuals and businesses of all sizes. Cyber Georgia will provide real solutions for cyber threats that we experience on a day-to-day basis."

Former U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss will serve as this year's Cyber Georgia host. Chambliss previously served as vice chair of the Senate Select Committee on intelligence.
